Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

Functional imaging operations lead for assigned clinical trials interacting with multi-disciplinary internal and external teams. Responsible for imaging operations including, implementation of standardized imaging procedures, day to day operational activities, monitoring imaging KPIs and imaging workflow to ensure timelines and deliverables are achieved.

 

 

Job Description:

  • Acts as a main contact point for clinical and study teams requesting support for imaging parts in a clinical study
  • Supports study teams in the cooperation with the external vendor and in imaging related questions together with the Senior Imaging or Imaging Clinician
  • Ensures knowledge of the outsourced activities including potential changes in scope, timelines and cost implication
  • Ensures proactive operational oversight, e.g. evaluation of cost proposals, delivery of cost proposals to study teams, continuous follow up of activities provided by Strategic partners or external partners and timelines
  • Set up and manage performance of the internal GCIS team and its members for achieving team and personal objectives of the projec
  • Make sure that information on project/study progress is available in high quality for study teams and within GCIS
  • Seek for mutual agreement in the study team for imaging related issues
  • Responsible for reader contracts
  • Review required documentation for completeness and SOP adherence
  • Ensure that respective budget proposals and approvals are in place when utilizing external vendors.
  • Support monitors (internal/external), study manager, clinical/study team and investigational sites to provide high-quality data
  • Anticipate and interpret customer needs to identify solutions
  • Coordinate all start up and day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with timelines
  • Coordinate the reading sessions to deliver data on time
  • Manages projects in the respective field of work.
  • Leads local/global/virtual project team.
  • Plans timelines and budget, ensures they are kept.
  • Ensures quality, clinical study protocol, imaging review charter and regulatory compliance of project outcome.
  • Performs cost/budget control and contracting with vendors, strategic partners and Blinded readers.
  • Prepares management reports and presents them on demand
  • Facilitate productive and efficient interfaces with clinical/project teams, medical data sciences and external CROs for imaging aspects of the project
  • Represents Clinical Imaging Services and participates in clinical/study team meetings or meeting with strategic partners or other external vendors.
  • Leads the GCIS team composed of all functions needed for imaging evaluation (if studies are conducted at GCIS).

Qualifications

Job requirements:

 

  • Master’s degree in life sciences or equivalent qualification.

  • Preferably experience in the area of central imaging evaluation and/or clinical study management in phase 2 and 3 clinical trials, preferred Oncology.

  • Profound knowledge of processes and demands in clinical studies and the overall clinical development obtained as e.g. as study manager or higher level.

 

Work Experience:

 

  • Experience working with or for an imaging CRO in support of late-stage clinical trials. Oncology is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of multiple imaging modalities and their application to drug development.
  • Imaging data collection, quality control, review, and analysis
  • GCP/ICH guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing
